LEADERSHIP
FBC Moose Jaw is an elder-led, congregationally governed church committed to biblical leadership and shared spiritual responsibility. Our governance model reflects both the New Testament pattern of elder oversight and the historic Baptist emphasis on congregational authority.
ELDER RESPONSIBILITY
The elders of First Baptist Church Moose Jaw serve as spiritual shepherds, providing oversight, teaching, and pastoral care. They are responsible for:
- Guarding the doctrine and spiritual health of the church
- Leading in vision, discipleship, and ministry development
-Equipping the congregation for service and growth in Christ
Elders are selected based on biblical qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9) and affirmed by the congregation.
A PARTNERSHIP IN THE GOSPEL
At First Baptist Church Moose Jaw, we believe that leadership and membership work together in joyful partnership. Elders lead with humility and wisdom, and the congregation responds with prayerful engagement and discernment. Together, we seek to glorify God, proclaim the gospel, and build up the body of Christ.
